| TUESDAY 26 September 2023 Morning Cross the pho Chu suspension bridge on a brief 15 minute morning walk and link up with the bus and drive to Shengana LSS. READ Bhutan will conduct a Days for Girls Kit distribution. Enroute visit the READ centre at Mendhagang. Afternoon Enjoy an easy hour long hike through the beautiful Punakha valley to visit the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Choeten. Lunch Visit a traditional farm house and enjoy a class on how to wear a Kira or Gho, the traditional Bhutanese dress. Enjoy traditional snacks and beverages. Afternoon 4pm Visit Tenchen Choeling Gatsel Buddhist Nunnery/College for Nuns in Paro. Observe a DfG kit distribution conducted by READ Bhutan. 6pm Prayers with the nuns. | FRIDAY 29 September 2023 Morning Taktsang Monastery, the “Tiger’s Nest”, an iconic Bhutanese landmark. This monastery is perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the valley floor.
