
Carolyn is an international development professional with experience managing projects for NGO’s across the world. Carolyn lived and worked in Bhutan for two and a half years for the UN World Food Program during which time she met and married her Bhutanese husband. On returning to Australia she was appointed CEO of the Australian Himalayan Foundation managing a range of international aid programs across Bhutan, India and Nepal. Carolyn has worked closely with Her Majesty Sangay Choden Wangchuck to support RENEW, an NGO established by Her Majesty and dedicated to the empowerment and development of women and girls in Bhutan and more recently has been helping train and mentor the not for profit sector in partnership with the UN. Carolyn and her husband returned to live in Bhutan in 2019.
